Friends' Annual Book & Rummage Sale

It's almost that time of year! The Friend's Annual Book & Rummage Sale will begin Sunday, September 30, 1:30 p.m. at the Greenwood Mall and end Sunday, October 7, 5:30 p.m..
We'll be right off Center Court across from the old coffee shop location. Mall hours are:
Sundays: 1:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Monday - Saturday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Here are pictures of people getting great deals last year! Join them this year, and get some wonderful prices on practically new books yourself!

Adult Book Discussion Groups


The Southern Writers Book Discussion Group will begin its year of reading on Saturday, September 8, 1 p.m. at the Greenwood County Library with Thomas Wolfe's Look Homeward, Angel. The group meets the first Saturday of every month at 1 p.m. Future books to be discussed include The Florabama Ladies' Auxiliary and Sewing Circle by Lois Battle, Southern Fried by Cathy Pickens, and Refuge by Dot Jackson.







Look What I Am Reading Book Discussion Group will begin its year of reading on Thursday, September 20, 3 p.m. at the Ware Shoals Town Hall with The Same Sweet Girls by Cassandra King. The group meets the third Thursday of every month at 3 p.m. Future books for discusssion include Southern Fried by Cathy Pickens, Grace at Low Tide by Beth Webb Hart, and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See.


First Time Mysteries Book Discussion Group will read and discuss Cornelia Read's A Field of Darkness at its September 25 meeting. The Mystery Book Group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 12 noon. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch, and drinks and snacks are provided.
